Happy New Year

With only a few days remaining in 2007, I want to wish all of my friends a wonderful and safe new year. To say that this has been an interesting year would be an understatement. There are so many reasons to look forward to 2008 and I hope to share them with you in the upcoming months.
As for my first big event of 2008, the P.F. Chang's Rock 'N' Roll Marathon on Phoenix in just a few weeks, I am happy to say that I have reached my minimum fundraising goal of $3250 and am quickly closing in on $4000. My original goal was $5000 and after the new year, I will go to work to reach that goal as well. The training is coming along great and I guess you could say that I am there and ready with two weeks to go. I did a 16.5 mile run last weekend, which was my last big run before the marathon. Sometme this weekend, I do plan to get back on the eliptical trainer for one more long workout and then just relax until marathon day with a few easy runs.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. No words can explain the appreciation that I have for everyone who has contributed, encouraged and wished me well. This truely has been an incredible experience for me.
Happy New Year!
