Dear Friend,

In just over a month, I will be lacing up my running shoes for PF Chang’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon with nothing ahead of me but 26.2 miles of roads and the excitement of completing my second marathon for blood cancer research. For the past nearly 20 weeks, I have gone from having to work through a three mile jog through the neighborhood to completing an 18 mile run and still having the will and endurance to run more. It’s been an amazing and truly a fun transition for me personally and being back in “marathon shape” feels incredible.

My goal while training for this marathon has also been to spread the word about the importance of more cancer research and to raise money for that research through the Team in Training program. As part of my dedicationto finding a cure for cancer, I have committed myself to raising a minimum of $3250. To date, I have raised just short of $2000 and have just over $1250 yet to raise. My deadline for completing my fundraising is coming up quickly.

I first want to say a special thank you to everyone who has already contributed to my cause. Your donations and words of encouragement have motivated me through some difficult runs and I expect to refer to them on marathon day around mile twenty three.

With this letter, I am hoping to make the final push to $3250 so that I can complete my fundraising effort and devote the remainder of my time to training. If you have not already joined me in this effort and you still want to help by making a donation, you can click here or mail your contributions to either:
