Podcast #6

I'll be honest. I didn't really know if anyone was actually watching these videos. But in the past few days, I have spoken to a number of people who have been watching and wondering when the next video was going to be produced. I am greatly touched to know that the effort to make and produce these vidoes is being noticed. While I am getting better at the process, several hours go into the development of each video podcast. It's hours I enjoy, but it does help to know that people are watching. So thank you. This week, I talk about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My camera "crashed" this morning and I was not able to pull off the second half of the video. Thankfully, I received a disk in the mail today with photos from the Topeka Light the Night Walk.

As for the training, I put in a good ten miler on Sunday with a good friend of mine who is running the Marine Corp Marathon this weekend. We ran faster than I am used to (1:35:00 for ten miles or about 9:30 pace). I am shooting for 11:00 miles in the marathon. My plan still is to get out next weekend for 15-18 miles. I'll let you know how it goes.

I will be sending out a mailing in the next few days to ask for support. The bottom line is that I am raising money for this cause. The training and the marathon are secondary. It's all about the mission and the hope and desire that one day, my efforts and the efforts of thousands of others will pay off and a cure for cancer will be found. You can donate online by vising this link http://www.active.com/donate/tntks/tntksGHill.

I would also like to ask a favor. Whether or not you donate personally, we all have friends who have been touched personally by cancer or are close to someone who has. Please pass this link on to them. My goal is to begin to reach more and more people with this message so that we will move closer to a cure.

Here, a day early, is the newest video. Thank you again for your support and encouragement.

Greg
